Beth Green is the Artistic Director for the Brevard Youth Chorus, the Indialantic Chamber Singers and the Director of Classic Worship at First United Methodist Church in Melbourne, where she directs choir and hand bells. Beth graduated summa cum laude from the studio of Dr. Elizabeth Graham at the University of Florida with her degree in choral music education.
State certified to teach grades K-12, Mrs. Green taught elementary school music for over a decade, most recently here in Brevard County. She was awarded Teacher of the Year and earned the prestigious Music Demonstration School designation twice during her time as Music Specialist at Audubon Elementary. She has taught school, church, and community choirs of all ages, with members aged from two to 92.
Beth enjoys conducting. She has prepared choral groups to perform many works, including the Mozart Requiem, Vivaldi Gloria, Handel's Dixit Dominus, Schubert's Mass in G, and Bach's Jesu, Meine Freude with the Dr. Vernon Boushell concert series, where she has also performed as the soprano soloist. As a founding member of the Gulf Coast Girl Choir in Tampa, Beth credits most of her vocal training to excellent choral conductors. She regularly sings with Brevard Community Chorus, Riverside Chorale, and the Space Coast Symphony Chorus. Beth lives in Melbourne with her husband and young son.
